Yes, it is. It is a course affiliated by Kannur University. It is a regular course, in a part-time mode.
FAQ 2: Is it a distance education course?
No. It is a regular course, in a part-time mode. Hence regular classes will be conducted on all Sundays and second Saturdays. 75% for PGDCP and 80% for PGDLD of attendance is mandatory for appearing semester examination.
FAQ 3: What is the duration of this course?
It is a One Year course with two semesters. Classes will be on all Sundays and second Saturdays.

FAQ 6: Location of the classes?
Our Campus is located at Thrikaripur, Near Thrikaripur govt hospital, Thankayam. It is just 1 km away from Trikaripur railway station and 7 km away from Payyannur Railway station. Other transport facilities are widely available to reach any part of Kasargod and Kannur districts.
FAQ 7: Is attendance mandatory?
Yes, 75% for PGDCP and 80% for PGDLD of attendance is mandatory for appearing semester examination.
FAQ 8: Who will be conducting the exams?
Examination and valuation procedures are done by Kannur University directly. There shall be a university examination at the end of each semester. The candidate who has failed in one or more papers in a semester may appear in the subsequent semester examination(s) along with the junior batch to complete those papers.

Course fee consists of 16000/Semester
FAQ 10: What is the minimum qualification to apply for the course?
PGDCP: Degree in any subject from a recognized university with a minimum of 50% marks, as basic educational qualifications. Weightage of 5 marks each will be given for those who have studied Psychology as a subject in any Graduate or Post Graduate degree.
PGDLD: A degree in any subject from a recognized university.
FAQ 11: What are the admission procedures?
Admission will be based on the rank list prepared by adding the aggregate percentage in basic degree (Total percentage of part III), weightage of 5 marks each for psychology papers studied in the basic qualifying degree or in any other additional degree the candidates hold subject to a maximum of 40 marks and the total marks in the entrance test.
FAQ 12: How will be the entrance test and Interview?
Candidates need to take a one-hour written test consisting of 60 marks for objective type of questions and 20 marks for descriptive type of questions. The rest 20 marks out of a total of 100 marks are assigned to the interview to assess the temperamental qualities the students need to have to do the counseling course.
FAQ 13: What will be the Medium of Instruction and Examination?
The medium of instruction shall be English. However candidates will be permitted to write the examination either in English or in Malayalam. At the end of each semester, there shall be one comprehensive examination by the university.

PGDCP: Admission has been started and the last date for Applying is 25 March 2022

FAQ 16: How can i apply online?

Step 2: Take the printout of the filled application, then affix your recent passport size photograph and signature in the appropriate space given in the form.

FAQ 17: What are the documents should be attached with the application form while posting it to Phapins?
