Selection Procedure

Admission will be based on the rank list prepared by adding
                    1. Aggregate percentage in basic degree (total percentage of part I, II and III).
                    2. Total marks in the entrance test
                    3. And weightage as per the following criteria
                               a. Weightage of 40 marks for those who have a degree in Psychology
                               b. Weigthage of 20 marks for teachers with five years of teaching experience.
                               c. Weightage of 20 marks for those who are having MBBS, BHMS, and BAMS.
                               d. Weighatge of 20 marks for parents having children with learning disability (subject to submission of certificate from the medical board)
                               e. Weightage of 10 marks for those who have studied psychology papers as complementary/subsidiary papers

 

Entrance Test and Interview
Candidates are to undergo a written test of two-hour duration consisting of 80 objective types of questions for 80 marks (30 questions on general mental ability/intelligence, 20 questions on general social awareness, and 30 questions on general psychology carrying 1 marks for each item). In addition, an interview to assess the temperamental qualities and aptitude will be conducted which carries 20 marks. Total marks for the entrance test including interview will be 100 marks.

Eligibility for Admission

Degree in any subject from a recognized university with a minimum of 50% marks, as basic educational qualifications. Weightage of 5 marks each will be given for those who have studied Psychology as a subject in any Graduate or Post Graduate degree the candidates hold subjected to a maximum of 40 marks. 

 

Selection Procedure

Admission will be based on the rank list prepared by adding the aggregate percentage in basic degree (Total percentage of part III), weightage of 5 marks each for psychology papers studied in the basic qualifying degree or in any other additional degree the candidates hold subject to a maximum of 40 marks and the total marks in entrance test.

 

Entrance Test and Interview

Candidates need to take a one hour written test consisting of 60 marks for objective type of questions (30 questions on counseling/ basics of human behavior, 20 questions on general mental ability and 10 questions on social awareness, carrying one mark each) and 20 marks for descriptive type of questions (4 questions with five marks each or two questions with ten mark each to assess the social awareness of the students). The descriptive questions will be pertaining to social awareness, analytical and reasoning ability. The rest 20 marks out of total 100 marks are assigned to interview to assess the temperamental qualities the students need to have to do the counseling course.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR APPLICATION 

Step 1: Fill the online application form. Filling all details are mandatory.

Step 2: Take the printout of the filled application, then affix your recent passport size photograph and signature in the appropriate space given in the form.
